Born Free is a good organization with good priorities. Their primary focus is the plight of mistreated captive lions and indeed many other species, through their "Zoo Check "programme."The Zoo Check programme is at the heart of Born Free, and since 1984 has worked to prevent captive animal suffering and phase out zoos". The great decline in wild lion populations is not their principal activity.It is our intention to dedicate 100% of our time to one species, the African lion, and concentrate on halting and indeed reversing the catastrophic decline.
