Acclaimed Wildlife Artist, Simon Stevenson
Monday 1st February 2010
![]() Acclaimed wildlife artist Simon Stevenson has painted his unique collection of wildlife images in the unusual medium of Tea and Ochre pigment (an earth pigment used for many thousands of years in cave paintings and rock art throughout the Great Rift Valley). Following in the footsteps of Africa’s amazing wildlife, Simon has managed to capture the colour, mood and shimmering beauty of this stunning continent and its diverse wildlife. Born on the foot hills of Africa’s greatest volcano Mt Kilimanjaro, Simon was to spend his formative years exploring Tanzania and Kenya’s extraordinary game parks where he was to experience the sights, smells and sounds of Africa’s Garden of Eden. Although he now lives in rural England, he often returns to his beloved Africa where he spends much of his time in amongst the wildlife sketching and photographing the animals. To view more of his extraordinary paintings, log onto his award winning website where you can view over 90 of his images.
